APRIL 23rd – INTERNATIONAL BOOK DAY
The EOI has prepared several activities for this year’s International Book Day. One of them will be a talk about Charles Dickens to celebrate the 200th anniversary of his birth. It will take place on Monday 23rd at 17:30h in Aula 1.
The English department has prepared some posters with information about famous writers and examples of their work (and also “condensed” versions for those of you who don’t have much time to read).
We would also like to encourage all of you to participate in the exchange of books in all languages: bring the books you enjoyed but you are not going to read again and let other people enjoy them, you will probably find something interesting to take home with you. Sharing is a good idea in times of crisis!
Finally, if you are a little curious about why April 23rd is International Book Day, perhaps you would like to try this short quiz about Shakespeare, Saint George and Cervantes.
