CHILDREN in Spain have too much homework and not enough playtime
The process of learning comes from the inside outwards and, if education is imposed from the outside on a child, replacing his or her ‘natural stimulation’ or learning, the youngster loses the ability to be surprised by anything, Mme L’Écuyer believes.
“In the end, the child becomes a passive learner and actually becomes addicted to being taught, rather than learning.”
